What Must Saudi Online Stores Show You?

Last updated 6/29/20260 viewsProvisional

Saudi online stores must legally display seller identity, contact details, full T&Cs, and a post-purchase receipt under Articles 6, 7, and 8.

Saudi law places strict disclosure obligations on online sellers. Under Article 6, every electronic shop must prominently display the seller's name (or distinctive trade identifier), their address, contact details, commercial registration number, VAT number (if applicable), and any relevant licence or permit information. This is designed so you always know exactly who you are buying from.

Before you complete a purchase, Article 7 requires the seller to provide a clear statement of the contract's terms and conditions. This must include the steps to complete the purchase, the available payment methods, the return and refund policy, the estimated delivery timeframe, and the total price including all fees and taxes.

After you place an order, Article 8 entitles you to a receipt that breaks down the cost of each item and shows the full total including all charges. If an online store is missing any of this information, treat it as a red flag — legitimate Saudi-registered stores are legally obligated to provide it. You can report non-compliant stores to the Ministry of Commerce.
